in the what’s up danger scene of itsv, when miles lets go of the building, the glass shatters. he’s terrified, but he takes the leap of faith. this is when he becomes spider-man.
in atsv, after miguel tells him he doesn’t belong and that he was a mistake, he jumps, again. the glass shatters, again, because he’s still terrified. but this time, instead of becoming spider-man, he’s proving to everyone else what he already knows. proving that he belongs. fighting to show that he is miles morales. he is spider-man.
the entire message of this multiverse trilogy is that in this story, the lonely spidey doesn’t have to be lonely
Pav was not alone in facing his first big threat because the spideys who were there didn’t want him to be alone. And when they manage to actually save everyone (because multiple spideys were sharing the load), the entire city cheers. Imagine how Gwen felt, knowing how she’s perceived in her own universe. Even for the other spideys, that must’ve been a novel experience–you just don’t get uncontested gratitude when you’re one person and you can’t save everyone.
there’s community to be found in the culture you grew up in & the people you meet during common-goal acts of heroism (solutions that wouldn’t have worked for a lone hero works when there are three spideys trying to stop a helicopter)
look at peter b parker, he was lonely as fuck but mentoring miles changed him, he’s not alone anymore
the classic spidey narrative is important because sometimes it is just you bearing the weight of the world–no one can lessen your grief for you, and no one else can take your leap of faith for you
but there’s something special about spideys getting understanding and community in miles’s story, it’s such a nice thing to happen to these isolated heroes, and the joy thereof is infectious

And she verbally beats his fine a$s for how horrible he treated Miles (who was undoubtedly a victim of circumstance, just like most all Spider-Men) but Miguel can’t really focus on what she’s saying because he just finds her “Mama bear” attitude Hot as hell.. and she can sense it..

His voice could echo amongst the society’s campus. Some of the spider-people wince at the boom of his voice. It was easy for them to conclude that it was another day, another problem to handle.

A boy-girl pair in their teens, because of course they have to be teens, pilot the mecha Darling in the Franxx style, except in a much more sensible position (he hugs her from behind). Under command of human pilots, these mecha take on forms inspired by East Asian myth creatures and transform like Transformers through Digimon-esque evolution lines that get more humanoid as you go on. The pilots physically embody them, so it’s more Attack on Titan rules than Gundam. Oh, and they blast qi attacks, so the battles honestly read like a bunch of furries engaged in a Dragon Ball Z fight, and that’s no one’s fault but mine.

Basically rewatched Digimon Adventure 02, overall the strongest antagonist was Ken as the Digimon Emperor/ Kaiser. It’s only later in the show that some things get bogged down with the other villains, but that’s probably mostly because of issues behind the scenes.
Overall, there are a few plot holes especially in terms of Ken’s crest and the circumstances in which he was infected by the Dark Spore. I mean we know about the Wonderswan games which is interesting but a lot more could have been done considering how the likes of Daemon wanted the Dark Spore.
I mean in hindsight it seems like a weak reasoning for Ken to go as far as he did because he thought the Digital World was a game. I mean I have to talk myself into making certain choices to get certain routes just because I don’t want anyone to die. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
Now I imagine that for the most part they keep Ken’s story the same. I mean his breaking point was when his brother died. However maybe he has some sort of handlers who gaslight him or even plant ideas in his head. I mean this is a kid who was able to force Agumon into a dark digivolution despite not being his partner. Not to mention the legends say that partnering with a chosen child makes obtaining power easier.
Just wore him down and possibly kidnapped him from the Human World since obviously evil digimon wouldn’t care about that sort of thing. Maybe use Ken as a scapegoat when all is said and done.
